Frolic! Rockin' Holiday Show

LC sat on Santa's lap today and told him what she would like for Christmas (a harp). I only had 30 seconds to take these two snapshots with my $99 pocket camera...before the next kid was asked to visit with Santa (though they hired someone to take pictures with a pro digital camera + flash, I didn't purchase the photograph because it was taken from the waist up, so you couldn't even see that she was sitting on Santa's lap...or check out her fancy shoes):

She was very excited to see Santa (though she wishes she had a chance to ask a ton of questions about the North Pole and Santa's life, reindeer etc. but most places in NYC have Santas for photo ops, not convos). Two years ago, she was a bit afraid of sitting on Santa's lap. (Fantastic photo below taken by a Macy's Santaland elf in NYC, December 2010):

I'm happy LC's first Santa experience this year was actually at an event attended by hundreds of kids and parents. So, waiting on a line to get a photo op with Santa was like an appetizer, then it was the main course of a wonderful live concert for families. We went to the Rockin' Holiday Show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The holiday show was presented by Frolic!, a cool rock 'n' roll play space that also features fun music classes. LC and I enjoyed the view from the top balcony. It was the first time we had the pleasure of seeing the upbeat Tim Kubart, and his talented special guests, perform live. Great way to kick off our long list of holiday activities this month!
