Boo at the Bronx Zoo

October 1 seems early to start our Halloween celebration...but we had an amazing time at the Bronx Zoo with LC's best friend and her mom. Boo at the Zoo, which takes place every weekend in October. LC was dressed as an ice cream cone (her choice of costume). I rarely post on this blog about our weekly outdoor adventures...but this was a great opportunity to pretend and use our imaginations and experience some spooky thrills, without any nightmares.

I will never forget the thrill of riding a camel for the first time. The girls were calm, like this is a perfectly normal form of transit in NYC. V's mom K took this motion shot of the girls and I on the camel:

The costume parade was a lot of fun, LC loves marching in parades.

The bug carousel gave LC the opportunity to ride on a praying mantis.

It was nice to roast marshmallows and enjoy a delicious s'more.

The spooky hay ride was LC's favorite part of the day.
