Women's History Month - celebrated with songs!

Tomorrow, I will continue catching us up to the present day, in terms of LC's artwork...but I wanted to take a moment to mention what a wonderful experience it was yesterday to attend a live musical performance.

The Deedle Deedle Dees 1 hour Family Variety Show at the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The educational rock band celebrated Women's History Month. Their web site lists all their shows (and you can also buy their music). I can attest to the fact that their music entertains (and informs) kids of all ages, as well as the adults! They perform songs based on history and science...with lots of original songwriting.

LC was thrilled to see the band's talented leader, Lloyd Miller, since LC attended his sing-a-longs in the past, as well as viewing his YouTube clips. Jen Milich, from AudraRox, was one of the special guests; Jen is LC's current music teacher. Though it took us one and a half hours to get there (1 bus & 2 trains) and 1 hour to get back (1 bus & 1 train) was well worth the trip! Awesome live performance!
